We've got a few rules we all have to follow to keep this event as special as it is. There's a few of the normal rules like, if you're too drunk to stand or stay sitting on your stool, you're probably too drunk to perform. And there's the "keep your clothes on" rule we all have to go by. For the sake of the evening, we have a few other rules that are more specific to what we're doing. You can think of it as not letting the inmates run the asylum. Also, these rules are important to follow if you ever want to come back and play in our writer's night again. Oh yea, almost forgot. We reserve the right to alter our rules at any time to better facilitate the weekly event.

  • All songs must be original ones that you wrote or co-wrote. No cover songs will be performed. If your song has a co-writer, your co-writer does not have to be there.

  • This is not an open mike night, therefore all songwriters must "Sign Up" to be scheduled to participate.

  • The business owners have requested that no songs with heavy profanity will be performed during the rounds and that no "covers" will be performed as this is to support songwriters new material.

  • All songwriters will respect each other while in attendance of the evening or you will be asked to leave.

  • In the event any mainstream artists or industry people attend, you will respect their privacy by not approaching them.

  • We will try to place you in your desired time slot, however, there are no guarantees that you'll get the exact time slot you desire. If you can't perform in the time slot we have available for the current week, we'll do our best to get a time slot for the following week that'll work better with your schedule.

  • "Walk-in's" are welcome but you will have to check in with the host to see if a time slot will be available. If we can't fit you into the writer's round you are certainly welcome to stay for the open mike portion immediately afterwards. We don't make exceptions to this as it's important to keep our schedule intact.

  • You will respect and be nice to the equipment we provide, and there will be no equipment alterations.

Please understand that this is a professional songwriter's night and will have industry professionals attending from time to time. This is why it's important to conduct ourselves in a professional way. But just remember, let's have a lot of fun and make this a successful evening!
